EYE CARE

Sri Seshadri Swamigal Seva Sangam has been conducting Free Eye Camps every year at Unjalur.  These camps are conducted in association with Kovai Sankara Eye Hospital who sends a team  of  qualified doctors and lab assistants. The residents of Unjalur and neighbouring villages benefit from these camps. Elaborate preparatory arrangements are made for a fortnight  to spread the message to check and protect the eyes , with the support of the village officials.

Every year, the local people get free check-up at the Eye Camp. During the eye check-up, those needing futher attention are selected by the doctors for eye surgery.They were transported to Coimbatore for treatment and brought back. Follow up checking and consultations are also provided.

Cumulatively over 2,100 persons have been benefitted so far.
